Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, announced that traders with an annual turnover of less than Rs. 20 lakh will now be able to obtain a CA (Chartered Accountant) certificate free of charge from government-empanelled CAs. The announcement was made during the launch of the Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana program at Haryana Niwas, and it will take effect on April 1, 2023.
The CA certificate is required for small traders who wish to do their GST (Goods and Services Tax) registration, and until now, they had to pay fees to obtain it.
However, with the new announcement, small traders will no longer have to bear this expense, as the state government will cover the costs.
In addition to this, the Chief Minister shared that the State Government had launched the Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana in 2019 to provide insurance benefits to traders with an annual turnover of up to Rs 1.50 crore. Under this scheme, insurance coverage ranging from Rs. 5 to Rs. 20 lakhs is provided to taxpayer-traders against loss of stock, furniture, and fixtures from fire, burglary, and natural calamities.
The scheme benefit will be given to those eligible taxpayers in the state registered as of March 31 or later under the Goods and Services Tax (GST), either in the state or central jurisdiction. Furthermore, such beneficiaries should also be registered on the online portal of this scheme.
The Haryana Traders Welfare Board (HTWB) will collect the registration fee as prescribed, and the same will be transferred to the Haryana Parivar Suraksha Nyas (HPSN).
The launch of this program was attended by members of the Haryana Traders Welfare Board. The announcement by the Chief Minister has been welcomed by small traders in the state, who will now be able to save money on CA fees, allowing them to invest more in their businesses.
