Former MLA Khiladi Lal Bairwa has resigned from his primary membership in the BJP, highlighting a growing discontent within the party. Ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party welcomed leaders from various parties, including many from the Congress. However, these leaders are now beginning to exit the party. The influx of Congress-affiliated leaders into the BJP revealed a disconnect, as many struggled to align with the BJP’s ideology. It appears that the BJP’s engagement with these leaders was primarily electoral, and the party has not adequately integrated or valued them. Consequently, dissatisfaction has led to a wave of departures from the BJP.

The first resignation from BJP has been given by former MP and former MLA from Baseri, Khiladi Lal Bairwa. He left the Congress party and joined the BJP before the Lok Sabha elections.

He has submitted his resignation by sending an open letter to the newly appointed state president of BJP, Madan Rathore. In this letter, he clearly stated that BJP and Congress are two different ideologies. He wrote that ‘I and my workers had joined the BJP, but even after a lot of efforts, I am not able to connect myself with the ideology of BJP.’ He wrote that I have been in active politics in Congress for the last 33 years. Therefore, the ideology of Congress has become part of my blood. He has written in the letter that he has no complaint against the BJP. He also wrote that he and all his workers are resigning from the primary membership while separating from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
