In an exclusive interview with ANI, Maumoon condemned the offensive remarks and urged for a quick resolution to the situation.

Responding to questions about President Mohamed Muizzu’s unconventional choice of China for his first state visit instead of India, Maumoon emphasized that while it breaks tradition, it does not diminish the strong relationship with India. Expressing gratitude for India’s assistance in various sectors, Maumoon highlighted the special nature of the relationship and appealed to both governments to collaborate in de-escalating tensions and reaffirming the strong friendship.
