In an exclusive conversation with The Daily Guardian, former foreign minister Natwar Singh while referring to Indo-China clash said that, “Tawang is a part of India and Army gave a befitting reply to China.” While lauding  PM Modi’s international image and his foreign policy, Singh pointed out that former Prime Minister made a mistake in the China’s matter. Reprimanding Pakistan Natwar Singh  said that they dare to initiate the nuclear war and will see themselves. He also indirectly took a dig at Rahul Gandhi and said that it is a democratic country and he can say whatever he wants but people are aware of the reality.

“There is a vast difference between the army of 1962 and the Indian army now, at that time our army was weak, wasn’t prepared and Jawaharlal ji was sure that China won’t attack which was a mistake he committed. 1930 onwards when China felt that Indian Army is going ahead, they attacked. Since then we came to know that strengthening the army is necessary and we should strengthen the Navy and the Airforce. On the contrary, the condition of our army today is not weak.”
