Bhupendra Hooda reached Haryana’s Sirsa district on Sunday to inspect the Ghaggar river. Hooda inspected Ootu and also met the villagers. During this, while talking to the media, the former CM besieged the governments of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on the pretext of floods
Bhupendra Hooda said that the work of the government was to repair the dam. If the government had got the drain and Ghaggar cleaned earlier, there would not have been so much flood. The government knew that if rain water came in Panchkula, arrangements should have been made.
This time three lakh cusecs of water has come. While eight lakh cusecs of water came in our time. Even then Delhi did not sink. This is the negligence of both the governments. If the government had got the Otu lake excavated, then probably there would have been no loss. The government should give compensation to the victims soon and should not embroil them in the affair of the portal.
Hooda said that Bhagwant Mann does not have knowledge. Had SYL been excavated, Punjab would have also been saved. There is no problem of flood in Haryana or in Punjab. Hooda told the people of Namdhari belt that the people of the area have strengthened the Ghaggar dams on their own. That’s why we demand that when your government comes to power, a concrete road should be made on both the dams by digging through the middle of Otu.
If the traffic starts on these roads then there will be no danger of breaking of the river. The width will also be complete. The capacity of the siphon below Rajasthan is 18 thousand cusecs. If more gates are built below them, then its capacity will increase.
On Sunday, the water level of Ghaggar was recorded at 42 thousand cusecs at Otu head. Earlier on Saturday the water level was 44350 cusecs. People are getting relief due to the decrease in the water level of Ghaggar. Villagers have stopped the water between Budhabhana and Mallewala of Sirsa by making a dam on the road. The work of maintaining this road as a strong dam is going on.
