Ahirwal’s strong leader and former minister Jagdish Yadav left BJP along with thousands of his supporters and joined Congress in a special program organized under the leadership of former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda and chaired by State Congress President Chaudhary Udaybhan.
During this, National President of Congress Backward Classes Captain Ajay Singh Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda, former CPS Rao Dan Singh, former minister Prof Sampat Singh, former minister Rao Narendra Singh, former minister Sukhbir Kataria, former CPS Anita Yadav, former MLA Rao Bahadur Singh and many senior party leaders including Rao Virendra and Lakhan Singla were present. All the leaders welcomed Jagdish Yadav and his colleagues into the party. Yadav expressed his gratitude to everyone and said every section of the state is fed up with the policies of BJP-JJP. “People are eagerly waiting for the elections. It is certain that Congress will form government in Haryana this time,” he said.
Along with Jagdish Yadav, Haryana BJP executive member, in-charge of Palwal and former district president of BJP Yuva Morcha Suraj Mann and famous Multani singer Rajkumar Chand also joined Congress.
