Officials from the Pune rural Police have reported that five bodies have been recovered following a boat overturning incident involving six individuals at Ujani Dam near Kalashi village in Pune district. The search and rescue operations are still ongoing.
Six people were reported missing after the boat capsized in the waters of Ujani Dam near Kalashi village, approximately 140 km from the city, according to police. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening at Ujani Dam, located near Kalashi village, close to Indapur Tahseel in Pune district.
“Teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local administration, and police are deployed for search and rescue operations,” police stated.
