In the early hours of Sunday, a fire started inside a store at the “Galla Mandi” complex in Hardoi. Five or six firemen arrived on the scene as soon as they received the information and began putting out the flames. The fire was contained in a matter of hours. “It is being said that a loss of around Rs 30-40 lakhs has happened,” stated Mahesh Pratap, the Fire Officer, Hardoi. “We got the information about the fire at 3:15 am. Fire is almost under control and doused soon.” There is still no known cause of the fire. An investigation is currently in progress. We await further information.
