A fire in a cafe in the Russian city of Kostroma killed 15 people on Saturday, according to emergency officials.
Authorities said that the blaze erupted in the early hours after someone apparently used a flare gun during a dispute.
250 people were successfully evacuated by rescuers. North of Moscow, Kostroma is around 340 kilometres (210 miles) away.
During the fire, the cafe’s roof fell in. Police are looking for the owner of the flare pistol and have opened a criminal inquiry.
