Bhadohi (UP), According to police, a guy has been arrested in this district of Uttar Pradesh for reportedly abusing and threatening to kill BJP MLA Dinanath Bhaskar.
Dilip Dubey, the defendant, is a resident of Mahdepur Kairmau in the Bhadohi district and was previously charged under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act for allegedly abusing Bhaskar, a member of the Dalit community, with harsh language.
On Sunday, Dubey allegedly called the MLA who represents the Aurai constituency in the Assembly and put pressure on him to get the part of the earlier case against him that dealt with Dalit harassment erased. Police Superintendent (SP) Anil Kumar claimed that he threatened the lawmaker and used obscene language.
