The Margalla Police station in Islamabad, Pakistan, filed a First Information Report (FIR) following the reported abduction of a foreign national from the city on Sunday, according to The Express Tribune.

As per the report, the FIR was filed at the behest of the foreign embassy, which also reached out to law enforcement to facilitate the retrieval of the abducted individual. Additionally, they identified a suspect and indicated that the foreign national was abducted from the F-8 area.

In a similar occurrence where Rehmatullah Khan, a Grade 18 officer from the Inland Revenue Service of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), was reportedly abducted from Rawalpindi, the twin city of the capital, last week, The Express Tribune reported.

The abductors detained him for ransom and requested a substantial sum of PKR 10 million from the officer’s family. An FIR was lodged concerning the abduction. Muhammad Shafiq, the abductee’s brother-in-law, filed the FIR.

As per the FIR, Rehmatullah Khan, a Grade 18 officer of the Inland Revenue Service posted at the FBR headquarters, was reportedly abducted by unidentified individuals at 11:30 am on April 12.
