Celebrating 37 Years of Utsav

Odissi exponent and Padmashree Awardee Smt. Ranjana Gauhar warmly invites you to the 19th edition of the ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ classical dance festival, celebrating 37 years of Utsav. The festival will be held on August 13th and 14th, 2024, at 7 pm at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Reflecting on Utsav’s journey, Smt. Ranjana Gauhar expresses her pride in keeping Indian classical dance alive. “Saare Jahan Se Accha” is a tribute to the nation’s martyrs and achievers through captivating performances steeped in tradition.

On August 13th, enjoy “Ksheer Sagar: The Might of the Ocean,” a musical dance drama blending Indian mythological narratives, performed by Utsav’s Repertory and Artistic Director, Guru Ranjana Gauhar. Distinguished guests include Padmavibhusan Dr. Sonal Mansingh, Padmashree Geeta Mahalik, and Padmashree Shovana Narayan.

On August 14th, witness performances by senior disciples of Guru Ranjana Gauhar (Odissi), Dr. Sandhya Purecha’s disciples (Bharatnatyam), Guru Sangita Chatterjeree and disciples (Kathak), and Guru Shyam Singh and disciples (Manipuri). The Chief Guest will be Amb. Bhaswati Mukherjee, with Guest of Honour Sunit Tandon and other notable figures.
