The ongoing farmer protests are now affecting rail traffic in the state. Due to the protests, it has been announced that train number 04753, the Bathinda-Shriganganagar train, will be cancelled from February 15 to February 24.
Similarly, train number 04756, the down train from Shriganganagar to Bathinda, will also remain cancelled from February 15 to February 24. This train departs for Bathinda at 7:30 pm and reaches Bathinda at 8:40 pm the same night.
The cancellation of the Shriganganagar-Bathinda train will have a negative impact on rail transportation connecting the two states. Additionally, train number 14736, the Ambala-Shriganganagar service scheduled to depart from Ambala on February 15, will only operate up to Bathinda, meaning it will be cancelled between Bathinda and Shriganganagar.
Likewise, train number 14735, the Shriganganagar-Ambala service scheduled to depart from Bathinda on February 15 and return on February 24, will be cancelled between Shriganganagar and Bathinda. This will pose difficulties for the general public.
