Former Pakistan cricketer Saeed Ajmal remembered his moment of dismissing Sachin Tendulkar in international cricket as a big achievement. Ajmal: Sachin is a great cricketer, most honest and kind in the world; he is a legend. I call him Sir; he is deserving of that. When in cricket you go to the ground, there is nothing like Sir, but I have played with him in it. It is an honor for me, I have got him out; that is a matter of happiness for me. I will remember this always, and whenever I played with him, I played as a human with respect.

Ajmal further disclosed that Tendulkar previously advised him regarding the dismissal of Kevin Pietersen with the “dusra” in a league match in 2010, to which he did. “I never got angry. I played with him in a league in 2010. He told me to get Pietersen out by doing ‘dusra’. Then I got Pietersen out by doing ‘dusra’. He was very happy. Then when I took 4 wickets in 4 overs, Sachin told me that now the match has 6 wickets left, you should not finish it too early. He has always respected us. He is a very good man,” Ajmal added.

Sachin Tendulkar leads in the highest runs in International cricket, with a total of 34,357 runs in 664 international matches at an average of 48.52 runs. His record for the most hundreds with 100 and most fifties with 164 by any cricketer in international cricket is unbreakable, along with the fact that he is the only century of centuries. He has set many records in ODIs; he was the first to score a double century in ODIs and to play 200 Test matches. Tendulkar was a member of the Indian team that won the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and also a member of the Mumbai Indians team that won the IPL in 2013.
