Southern Haryana has consistently held significance in the state’s political landscape. Securing control over Ahirwal (South Haryana) is pivotal for ensuring the formation of the government in the state. On Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) welcomed former Rewari MLA Randhir Singh Kapriwas back into the party, with a warm reception by State Chief Manohar Lal Khattar and State President Naib Saini.

This is no less than a big shock for Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, who had expelled him from the party exactly 4 and a half years ago due to the Kapriwas rebellion.
Kapriwas rebelled and contested the elections from Rewari seat, accusing Rao Inderjit Singh of getting his ticket cut in the last assembly elections. Due to which BJP candidate Sunil Musepur supported by Rao Inderjit Singh was defeated here.

Among these, two names were most prominent. One was Randhir Singh Kapriwas who contested as an independent candidate and the other was Dr. Arvind Yadav who was contesting the ticket from Rewari seat. Rao Inderjit Singh targeted both of them many times. The party had even suspended Randhir Singh Kapriwas for 6 years for contesting the elections as an independent candidate.

After the formation of the government again, Rao Inderjit Singh was given the first blow by making Dr. Arvind Yadav, a close associate of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, the chairman of Harco Bank. Dr. Arvind Yadav is currently the Chairman of Tourism Corporation.

Even though Randhir Singh Kapriwas was successful in defeating the leader supported by Rao Inderjit Singh by contesting the elections as an independent candidate, he always maintained coordination with the senior leaders of the party. He kept meeting Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, BJP Parliamentary Board member Dr. Sudha Yadav, Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Home Minister Anil Vij. In the last 4 and a half years, Kapriwas spoke a lot about Rao Inderjit Singh on many occasions, but never said anything about BJP.

Randhir Singh Kapriwas has been an old leader of BJP. It was Kapriwas who had stopped the victory of Congress Captain Ajay Singh Yadav in 2014, who had won the Rewari seat by contesting the elections for six consecutive times. However, the circumstances were different at that time. Actually, Rao Inderjit Singh contested elections from Gurugram Lok Sabha seat twice in a row in 2014 and 2019 on BJP ticket and won both the times and became Minister of State in the Central Government. Rao Inderjit Singh left Congress and joined BJP even before the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. Rao Inderjit Singh has his own support base from Gurugram to Nangal Chaudhary, but due to Rao’s pressure politics, if sources are to be believed, BJP has been giving blow to Rao Inderjit Singh for some time.

Now, Nayab Saini, who was made the state president some time ago, has given place to most of the anti-Rao leaders in his new team. In this, Santosh Yadav and GL Sharma, former deputy speakers of Haryana, were made state vice presidents of the party, while their another opponent, former minister Rao Narbir Singh, was also adjusted in the organization and made in-charge of Lok Sabha elections.

Randhir Singh Kapriwas was the only leader left who was yet to be adjusted. Its script was written by Naib Saini, who visited Rewari for the first time after becoming the state president, on the same day when he reached Kapriwas’s house at midnight to meet him.
