Bollywood’s biggest stars gathered for the swearing-in ceremony of Maharashtra’s newly elected Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis. Among those in attendance were Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who shared a warm hug as they greeted each other at the event. The actors, dressed in dark formal suits, were captured on live video, with Shah Rukh’s manager Pooja Dadlani accompanying him.

Other prominent attendees included Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar, Madhuri Dixit, and business magnates like Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, and Radhika Ambani.

Pre-Ceremony Updates:

Earlier in the day, Devendra Fadnavis visited Shree Siddhivinayak and Shree Mumbadevi Temples in Mumbai for prayers ahead of his swearing-in. The ceremony, held at Azad Maidan, saw Fadnavis take the oath as CM, with NCP leader Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present for the occasion.

Election Results:

The 2024 Maharashtra Assembly Elections concluded with a decisive win for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, securing 235 seats. The BJP emerged as the largest party with 132 seats, while Shiv Sena and NCP won 57 and 41 seats, respectively. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) faced a significant defeat, with Congress securing just 16 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) 20 seats, and the Sharad Pawar faction of the NCP managing only 10 seats.

Polling Booth Moments:

Last month, Salman Khan cast his vote at a polling booth in Mumbai, wearing a grey t-shirt and jeans. He was accompanied by his father, Salim Khan, and mother, Salma Khan. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan arrived with his family—wife Gauri, daughter Suhana, and son Aryan—dressed in a white shirt and beanie cap, all amid high security.
