The semifinal round showcased content from around the world. Winners from this stage will compete in the grand ceremony on November 25, 2024, in New York, where the International Emmy Awards will be presented.

The International Emmy Awards’ semifinal jury round was held on August 18, at the India International Centre in Delhi. Dr. Annurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of BusinessWorld Group and Founder of Exchange4media, hosted the event.

Dr. Batra, recently appointed as a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (commonly known as the Emmys), joined a distinguished group of over 900 members from more than 60 countries. The Academy, established in 1969, is a non-profit organization based in the United States dedicated to evaluating top television programs globally. Its expert jury assesses content across 17 categories, awarding the International Emmys to outstanding TV shows and performers.

Leading the jury panel in New Delhi, Dr. Batra was joined by notable industry figures including Savitraj Hiremath, Founder and CEO of Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt Ltd; Mrinalini Jain, Group Chief Development Officer at Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India; Rintu Thomas, Director-Producer; Brij Bakshi, former Director at Doordarshan and senior media sports professional; Kapil Batra; filmmaker Pankaj Saxena, Artistic Director at NFDC; Dr. Bhuvan Lal, Creative Entrepreneur, filmmaker, and writer; Chandramouli Basu, Director-Producer; and Sudhir Tandon, former Additional Director General at Doordarshan. Nathaniel Brendel, Senior Director of Emmy Judging, was also in attendance.

The semifinal round featured a diverse array of content from across the globe. The winners from this stage will advance to the grand ceremony scheduled for November 25, 2024, in New York, where the International Emmy Awards will be presented.
