Former India cricket coach Ravi Shastri believes it will be an emotional homecoming for Gujarat Titans’ captain Hardik Pandya to play at the iconic Wankhede stadium after getting the tag of celebrity. However, beating the Mumbai Indians on their home turf would be a tough task for any visiting team.

Pandya is set to play a crucial game against the team and ground where he got his name and fame. Hardik has to punch above his weight to overcome the MI.

Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh said, GT has Rashid, Shami, and other quality bowlers. Mumbai’s bowling attack, on the other hand, is weaker, and they are leaking 200-plus runs. Yes, the Mumbai Indians have chased down three consecutive 200-plus totals, but the law of averages might catch up. Bhajji further added the toss is going to be very crucial in that game, if MI loses the toss, it will be tough.”

Hardik Pandya used to play for Mumbai India in the IPL from 2015 to 2021. He helped the Mumbai Indians win four titles during this period.

Former India cricketer S Sreesanth believes the match between the two heavyweights will be interesting.

Currently, all the teams have a chance to reach the playoffs stage, making this edition of the IPL much more interesting in the history of the tournament. It is going to be a super fight between five-time champions and defending champions.

Cricket fans will get the chance to witness an absorbing battle between teams from two different regions of the country, which will add more spice.
