In the run-up to the Madhya Pradesh state assembly elections next month, senior leaders of the BJP and Congress have taken charge of preparing an election strategy. Both parties’ media centres have intensified the election war and have taken it to social media.
They are not shying away from attacking each other. In this sequence, both parties have activated their state media teams. BJP has prepared a state-of-the-art media centre in the capital. Every election-related press conference or discussion of the party is taking place here. At the same time, Congress is working on the same old pattern from the state Congress office. It has not made any new changes regarding the upcoming elections. The political atmosphere of the state has started heating up.
It is noteworthy that social media is the biggest medium to reach most of the voters of the state. Therefore, BJP-Congress have made a proper strategy for this. All the officials of the media teams of Congress and BJP are very active on social media. From Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Koo, Timber app to other social media platforms, they are continuously attacking the opposition parties. BJP’s state media in-charge Ashish Aggarwal is playing the most aggressive role against the Congress. Party spokespersons and panellists have also become very active on media and social media. The spokespersons who have been assigned responsibilities at the district and divisional levels have also handled the situation with promptness. On the other hand, State Congress President Kamal Nath’s media advisor Piyush Babele and Media Department Chairman KK Mishra are attacking BJP and are in a state of quick counterattack.
In view of the elections, apart from Bhopal, war rooms have also been started by Congress in Gwalior, Indore, Ujjain and Jabalpur. Here each national spokesperson has been assigned the responsibility. Even in BJP, national spokespersons have taken responsibility in the media centre located in Bhopal. The central team is overlooking the Madhya Pradesh BJP.
On behalf of Congress, state in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala is continuously attacking BJP. At the same time, four spokespersons Ragini Nayak, Alok Sharma, Charan Singh Sapra and Surendra Singh Rajput have been sent to Madhya Pradesh. Besides, they have also been assigned the responsibility of Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore and Gwalior divisions respectively. All of them are working in coordination with the Madhya Pradesh Congress Media Department.
