The Election Department is performing many types of responsibilities under the Assembly Elections 2023. As part of the election meetings, a state-level meeting of enforcement agencies was organised in Jaipur. In this meeting, Deputy Commissioner of Election Commission of India, Ajay Bhadu said that till now the work related to Rajasthan has been excellent.
On the instructions of the Election Commission, seizure-related work is being done by various enforcement agencies in the state. Deputy Commissioner of the Election Commission of India, Ajay Bhadu said that on the instructions of the Election Department, the enforcement agencies are doing excellent work compared to the 2018 elections. He said that since the implementation of the MCC, the agencies have set a new record by seizing illegal material worth more than Rs 105 crore.
Bhadu held a meeting in Jaipur on Wednesday regarding the ESMS created by the Election Commission of India for monitoring expenditures with the State Nodal Officer of the enforcement agencies and the District Nodal Officer of various enforcement agencies. He has also praised the seizure-related work of Jaipur, Udaipur, Barmer, Sriganganagar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh and Jodhpur districts.
Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta told during the meeting that during the meeting, the use of the ESMS (Electoral Seizure Management System) application was explained to increase transparency in elections.
