In Shahpura, Rajasthan, Education Minister Dheeraj Gurjar inaugurated the district-level girls’ volleyball competition. During the event, he raised the issue of women’s representation and called for 33% reservation for women, citing a bill presented by Congress.
In the premises of Swami Vivekananda Government Model School in Shahpura district headquarters, Education Minister Dheeraj Gurjar hoisted the flag and administered the oath to the participants in the state-level girls’ volleyball competition. A total of 96 teams from Rajasthan have participated in the competition.
On this occasion, PCC member Sandeep Mahaveer Jeengar, DMFT member Rajkumar Bairwa, Congress leader Narendra Reger, and local representatives were present. District Education Officer Rameshwar Lal Baldi and the school’s principal Ishwar Lal Meena welcomed the Education Minister. Baldi presented the report.
Education Minister Dheeraj Gurjar, addressing the gathering, stated that girls are the creators of creation. The competition, starting from Ganesh Chaturthi, will bring about a new creation in the new Shahpura district. He mentioned that a bill has been introduced in Parliament today, proposing a 33% reservation for women, which is a contribution of the Congress. The Congress has long been working in this direction. He encouraged the spirit of sports and called for active participation in sports.
