In the case of illegal sand mining in Bihar, ED is raiding half a dozen places of several businessmen in Dhanbad and Hazaribagh of Jharkhand since Monday morning. Raids are being conducted simultaneously at five places in Dhanbad.Different teams of ED reached Dhirendrapuram and Dhaiyya in the early morning at the residence of businessman Jai Narayan Singh alias Jagan Singh at Polytechnic Road in Sadar police station area, Ashok Jindal’s residence in Chanchni Colony, Surendra Jindal’s residence in Sindri, Dhirendrapuram and Dhaiya. Documents are being searched everywhere. All these businessmen have had involvement in the sand business of Bihar. In this sequence, raids are also going on at the residence of former secretary of Hazaribagh Cricket Association Sanjay Singh on Mission Road in Hazaribagh. During the raid, there was a complete ban on anyone coming in or out of Sanjay Singh’s house, according to ED sources, this action is going on in the case of money laundering through illegal sand mining in Aurangabad in Bihar. There is news that raids are going on at many places in Kolkata and Aurangabad in Bihar. This is to inform that last year the Economic Offenses Unit had also taken massive action against the illegal business of sand in Aurangabad. Two IPS officers were also suspended.
