The Enforcement Directorate questioned casino organiser Chikoti Praveen Kumar along with his aide Madhav Reddy on Monday in the context of allegedly violating the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

The ED raided Chikoti Praveen Kumar’s farmhouse in Kadtal Ranga Reddy district of Telangana along with multiple other places on July 30.

The ED raided Kumar’s residence at IS Sadan in Hyderabad along with Madhav Reddy’s residence in Boinpally on July 29.

ED discovered that VIP casinos were being organised in Nepal, Bangladesh, and Indonesia by Chikoti Praveen and other individuals.

After an 18-hour long raid, Enforcement Directorate officials confiscated numerous significant papers and checked and searched all of Chikoti’s high-end vehicles.

A casino was allegedly organised and run by Chikoti Praveen during the Sankranti festival in Gudiwada, Andhra Pradesh in the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) minister’s function hall.

Kumar is also alleged to own dozens of illicit animals. Kandukur Forest Deputy Range Officer stated that it is a non-bailable offence to own wild animals as pets and strict legal action will be taken against all the individuals involved.

The officer declared, “Keeping wild animals as pets in a farmhouse is a violation and we have noticed that wildlife animals and snakes have been kept as pets in Chikoti Praveen Kumar’s farmhouse in Kadtal of RR District. Non-bailable cases will be registered against the organisers of this farmhouse. “
