Mild tremors were felt in Delhi and parts of northern India this afternoon following a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Afghanistan. The seismic activity was also experienced in Pakistan.

The National Center for Seismology reported, “Earthquake of Magnitude: 6.1, Occurred on 11-01-2024, 14:50:24 IST, Lat: 36.48 & Long: 70.45, Depth: 220 Km, Location: Afghanistan.”
Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of injuries or destruction as a result of the earthquake. Authorities are monitoring the situation, and residents are advised to stay alert and follow safety protocols in the aftermath of the seismic activity.
