On Tuesday, May 16, the event occurred during the flight, and the injured passengers received medical attention when they arrived at the Sydney airport. The DGCA said that no passenger was hospitalised. The AI-302 (Delhi-Sydney) Air India B787-800 aircraft, registered VT-ANY, experienced significant turbulence. Seven passengers on the flight reported mild sprains, the DGCA said to media.

Soon after the plane landed, the female passenger received emergency medical attention and was taken to the hospital. “The aforementioned passenger was seen by a doctor at the airport after landing, received treatment at the hospital, and was then released.
“Our staff according to the protocol, thoroughly inspected the aircraft, discovered the scorpion, and then properly performed the fumigation process. We deeply regret the passenger’s suffering and inconvenience, Air India remarked.
