Chandigarh Crime Branch team busted an international drug syndicate and arrested 3 foreign nationals. The arrested accused were identified as Frank Nwokeji resident of Anambra State Nigeria present address Market Road, Vikaspuri, Delhi, Lua resident of Will-Ihiala, Police Station Ihialaloklagove Anambra State Nigeria present address Chander Vihar, New Delhi and Jack David Lobi Tochukwu David resident of Lagos State Nigeria present Block, 4th The destination was Chander Vihar, New Delhi. Police recovered 204.86 grams of ICE-amphetamine from the possession of the accused. A case was registered under Foreigners Act and NDPS Act at Police Station-ANTF, Sector-11, UT Chandigarh and arrested.

The accused had come to India on short-term medical/business visa. Even after the expiry of the visa, he was engaged in drug smuggling by staying in India. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused were coming to supply drugs in discos/pubs/bars in Chandigarh. Police recovered 204.86 grams of ICE/Amphetamine from the possession of the accused. Giving information, DSP Crime Udaypal Singh and Inspector Crime Branch Ashok Kumar said that the Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police busted an international drug syndicate by arresting three foreign nationals on the basis of secret information. Secret information was received that three African nationals were coming to Chandigarh to supply drugs. Police arrested the trio from near Haryana Roadways Workshop Plot No. 182, Industries Area Phase-1, Chandigarh. Accused Lua was earlier also arrested in a case under

NDPS Act at Police Station Sector 39, Chandigarh.

207 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused.

Currently on bail in the case. All the foreign nationals arrested are from Africa. The visa of the accused has expired and they are illegally living in India and doing drug smuggling. They are bringing drugs from Delhi at cheap prices and selling them to Indians at higher prices. To earn money, they were also supplying in discos/pubs/bars of Tri-City.
