In a recent development, actor Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades was quizzed by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday for six hours which is to be continued on Thursday. Gabriella reached the NCB’s zonal office at Ballard Estate in south Mumbai in her car just before noon to join the investigation and left by 5.45 or so. Arjun Rampal’s questioning by NCB is postponed for now.
The narcotics agency has summoned Arjun and his girlfriend after raiding his residence on Monday where two tablets were found whether it was with prescription or not is what NCB is trying to find out. On the day of the raid, some electronic gadgets were also seized and Arjun’s driver was questioned at the NCB office by Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his team.
Last month, NCB arrested Gabriella’s brother Agisilaos Demetriades in Lonavala. He was in judicial custody and was again arrested by NCB in one more drug case. NCB claims that he is directly connected with a co-accused in the case from whom the commercial quantity of drugs was seized and that he has links with other co-accused too and some international links too.
NCB raided film producer Firoz Nadiadwala recorded his statement and has arrested his wife Shabana Saeed in connection with a drugs-recovery case.
Earlier, the NCB had summoned Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor in connection with the case
