A doctor named Dr. Mayanak Shrivastava (BHMS) has been arrested for performing an abortion on a rape survivor and minor girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal. Dr. Shrivastava runs her clinic in the city. In this case, the rape accused Faisal Abbas has already been arrested and on 13 December 2022 an FIR was registered in the matter at Ajak police station. “An FIR was registered on December 13 in which during investigation it came to fore that the 16-year-old girl was aborted. On further investigation, it has been found that a clinic was running in the name of BSC MD,” Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nidhi Saxena said.
