Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Water Supply Minister Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary inaugurated the foundation stone laying ceremony for three high reservoirs in a program held at Neendad village of Vidyadhar Nagar assembly constituency on Friday.
The high reservoirs, costing approximately Rs 18 crore, will be constructed in Nindar, Kabir Ashram, and the Machada Hanuman temple area. The completion of these reservoirs is expected to ensure a clean and uninterrupted water supply to around one lakh thirteen thousand residents in the area.
Addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari emphasized the government’s commitment to implementing schemes that benefit all sections of society, including the poor, youth, food providers, and women. The recently presented budget reflects this commitment, providing benefits to various sections. She reiterated the government’s dedication to swiftly implementing the budgetary announcements.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari conducted an inspection of the Anganwadi centre in Neendad village, engaging with Anganwadi workers to gather information about the children attending, the curriculum, and nutritional aspects.
Additionally, she visited the Government Higher Secondary School in Nindar, interacting with school staff and students. The increase in the honorarium of Anganwadi workers, as outlined in the budget, was well-received, and workers expressed their gratitude by presenting a bouquet to the Deputy Chief Minister.
Under the Bisalpur Prithviraj Nagar Drinking Water Scheme, eight water tanks are slated to be constructed in the Vidyadhar Nagar assembly constituency. Work on six of these tanks has commenced, and construction for the remaining two will begin as soon as the necessary land becomes available.
