District building committee reviews progress on judicial complex and accommodations in Mohali

The District Building Committee led by Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain took stock of the progress of the proposed Judicial Complex and accommodations of judicial, police and civil officers at District headquarters in Mohali, today.
In the committee meeting, the Chief Administrator of GMADA, Rajiv Kumar Gupta, SSP Dr Sandeep Garg, ADC (G) Viraj S Tidke, ADC (Urban Development) Damanjit Singh Mann, ACA PUDA Damandeep Kaur, SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta, Field Officer Chief Minister Inderpal, Executive Engineer Public Works Department (Provincial Division) S S Bhullar were present.
Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain said that about 6 acres of land have been identified at Jawaharpur for the judicial complex to be built at Derabassi, in which the existing water supply and sanitation department office rooms, a water tank and borewell will be dismantled.
She asked the concerned officials to prepare the estimates in this regard.
Discussions were held on taking further action for construction at the identified site in Sector 96 for the residences of judicial, police and civil officers to be built at the District Headquarters of SAS Nagar in Mohali. She said that approval has been received for the construction of 24 residences, for which now funds will be sought from the government by getting the drawings finalised by the Chief Architect and assessing the construction costs.
