Continuing its commitment to fostering cultural enrichment and educational opportunities for the youth, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, under its Civic Action Programme (CAP), launched a week-long Bharat Darshan Tour for 65 students from district Anantnag. The tour, flagged off by DIG SKR Anantnag, Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan-IPS, aims to provide students with a platform to explore and learn from the historical marvels of India.
The flag-off ceremony, held at the District Police Lines Anantnag, witnessed the presence of senior police officials including SP Ops Anantnag Shri Furqan Qadir JKPS, SP HQRS Anantnag Shri Sajad Ahmad JKPS, and IC DySP DAR Anantnag Shri Asif Mustafa-JKPS, who extended their best wishes to the touring students.
Addressing the students, DIG SKR encouraged them to seize the opportunity to broaden their horizons by visiting iconic landmarks and experiencing the rich cultural heritage of the country. He emphasized the importance of embracing India’s diversity and unity, urging the students to absorb the essence of the nation’s greatness.
Organized by the J&K Police, the Bharat Darshan Tour provides comprehensive boarding, lodging, and logistical support, including air tickets, to the participating students. During the tour, the students will explore various historical sites in New Delhi and Hyderabad, gaining invaluable insights into the country’s rich history and cultural heritage.
The initiative has received praise from both parents and students, who lauded the efforts of the J&K Police in providing them with an opportunity to visit renowned cities across the country.
