Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune and Society for Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS), Chennai, are jointly conducting a workshop from 9th to 14th August, 2021 on Field Programmable Gate Array and Post-processing (FPGA) and Post-processing for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), to make the students future-ready in this advanced area. Quantum Key Distribution is one of the most advanced areas for secure communication, and is a challenging technology for many countries. Post-processing of data using innovative FGPA techniques is an essential requirement for deriving meaningful information from QKD.
This one-week workshop is being attended by about 30 participants who are in the area of Quantum Technology, followed by the Hands-on training and discuss the developments in the field of QKD. Dr. N. Sarat Chandra Babu, Executive Director, SETS, Chennai was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session. Dr C.P. Ramanarayanan, Vice-Chancellor, DIAT, Pune was the Patron, and Prof G. Raghavan, Director, School of Quantum Technology was the Convenor of the workshop. In addition, expert faculty from both DIAT and SETS were present during the function.
On this occasion, Dr C.P. Ramanarayanan, Vice Chancellor, extended the warm wishes to the organising team and participants. He also requested to the participants for their active participation in the workshop and asked to strengthen and carry forward this futuristic technology in the nation building.
