Taking a serious view of the fire accident happened at a Chemical Factory in Chananlon, the deputy commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain ordered a magisterial probe to inquire the accident to book the guilty. The Additional Deputy Commissioner level officer of the district would be entrusted the enquiry, she added.
Visiting the accident site, the deputy commissioner, reviews the rescue operations going on the site. She appreciated the efforts of the firemen to douse the flames and said that due to chemical composition, it has been taking more time to control the fire fully. She said that but now the situation is under control. The two of five labourers who got burn injuries have been given advanced treatment by keeping them under observation, she added.
The Deputy Commmissioner, Mrs Aashika Jain who herself rushed to the spot after deploying ADC (G) Viraj Shyamkarn Tidke and SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh to review the ongoing rescue work, said that our first and foremost endeavor was to control the fire and save the lives of the injured labourers. “We would get a detailed report on the irregularities later on and the guilty would be booked definitely to endanger the lives of the innocent and poor labourers”, she added.
Later on, the deputy commissioner, Aashika Jain visited the labourers who got burn injuries in this incident and enquired upon their well being besides getting the details of the incident. She assured them of the adequate compensation from Punjab Government for treatment related expenditure.
The SSP Dr Sandeep Garg who also visited the site said that the matter is being investigated and the action would be taken as per the findings of the insvestigation.
