A shocking incident occurred in Delhi where a 24-year-old woman was arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police. She is accused of killing her boyfriend’s 11-year-old son, who, according to the accused, was a hindrance to her relationship with her partner.
The woman, named Puja Kumari, was in a relationship with the boy’s father, Jitendra. According to the Police, Puja Kumari had an affair with Divyansh’s father, Jitendra, and they started living together in 2019, but after three years, he went back to his wife and son. This triggered Puja, and in revenge, she killed Divyanshu.
Accused Pooja Kumari (24), a resident of Ranhola, who was on the run for several days and was finally arrested from Bakkarwala on Tuesday, police said.
According to her statement to the police, she was in a relationship with Jitendra and married him in 2019 in a temple of the Arya Samaj, but this marriage was not legal as he had not divorced his wife. Jitendra assured Puja that he would divorce his wife. But there were regular quarrels between Puja and Jitendra over this, and he went back to his wife and children.
CCTV reveals woman’s crime
NEW DELHI: CCTV footage from a house in Inderpuri, west Delhi, revealed the accused woman’s strangled her live-in partner’s 11-year-old son.
The footage showed her entering the premises while concealing her face with a blue scarf and carrying a bag. The incident occurred on August 10. A CCTV camera revealed that the last person who visited the 11-year-old boy’s house was Pooja, a senior police officer said.
On Thursday, she met her friend and asked him to take her to Jitender’s house, as she was not aware of the exact location. The door of the house was open, and she strangled Divyansh, who was sleeping. She took out the clothes from the bed box and put the body inside it.
