Delhi experienced a light layer of fog on Saturday morning, registering a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius, which is one degree below the normal temperature, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD has forecasted the possibility of light rain and thundershowers in Delhi on Sunday.

The weather outlook includes a generally cloudy sky, moderate fog in the morning, and the likelihood of light rain accompanied by gusty winds. Visibility at Delhi’s main weather stations, Safdarjung and Palam, was recorded at 1500 meters and 800 meters, respectively, at 8:30 am.

Rain will once again return to the capital Delhi from tonight. The rain will be light during the night and after that the rain will intensify on Sunday. Yellow alert has also been issued on Sunday regarding rain and strong winds. After this, cold wave conditions may arise next week.

The IMD clarified that no dense fog was reported at Delhi airports, with Palam (IGI) Airport showing 800 meters visibility and Safdarjung Airport recording 1500 meters visibility at 0830 hrs IST.  The temperature remained unchanged from Friday.

Northern Railways reported delays for 17 trains to Delhi due to fog conditions, with some experiencing delays of over two to five and a half hours.
