Delhi Police registers a case over AAP-BJP ruckus

A case has been registered by Delhi Police in connection with the ruckus between AAP-BJP councillors outside the Civic Centre, police said.

As per the statement given by the Police, a “situation-based” case under section 160 of the IPC was registered on Saturday after the “political drama,” took place outside the Civic Centre on Friday.

The officials further clarified that the case is not related to the complaints filed by the BJP and AAP against each other. However, the investigation in the case is under progress and further action will be taken after taking legal opinion, police said.

The news came into the light after a recent chaos between AAP-BJP members that took place in MCD House. The members of the both parties resorted to punches, jostling and blows over the results of the election to the 6-member standing committee.
