In the Bhajanpura neighborhood of North Delhi, two men were shot and one was killed, according to the police on Wednesday. The incident happened on Tuesday night around 11.37 p.m., according to the police. According to the police, the deceased, identified as Harpreet Gill, was a local of the Bhajanpura neighborhood. He was rushed to the Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Govind Singh, the injured party, is a native of the Bhajapura region. According to the police, he is currently receiving treatment at the LNJP hospital.
According to the police, the two were travelling on a motorbike near Subhash Vihar in the Bhajanpura area when the assailants intercepted them.
They opened fire at them before fleeing the spot, the police added.
A case was registered in connection with the incident and an investigation is underway, police said.
