Delhi High Court To Delhi Govt, DMRC: Consider Installing Advanced Cardiac Life Support Facility At Three Major Interchange Metro Stations

The Delhi High Court in the case Court on its own motion v. Union Of India And Ors observed and has asked the Delhi Government and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in order to explore the possibility of installing the advanced cardiac life support facility at three major interchange metro stations, which being namely Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk and Hauz Khas.
The division bench comprising of Justice Manmohan and Justice Saurabh Banerjee Justice Manmohan and Justice Saurabh Banerjee in the case observed while hearing a suo motu matter which is initiated in the year 2018 and has directed the authorities for filing a fresh status report on the aspect before August 01, the next date of hearing.
The bench was appraised by the counsel appearing for the Delhi Government that government is in talks with the District Authorities of Tis Hazari as well as Rouse Avenue Courts for installing the ACLS service in the premises of court.
Further, it has also been submitted before the court that as of now the Delhi government has provided three ACLS ambulances at the three major interchange metro stations as the same being in question.
It has also been submitted by the counsel appearing for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation submitted before the court that there being the space available at the metro stations for installation of the ACLS service.
The court in its order also stated that the learned counsel for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and GNCTD in the case observed and has directed to explore the possibility of installation of ACLS facility at the three major interchange metro stations.
The bench in the case observed and has directed the Delhi Government in order to ensure that the ACLS facility is being installed in its premises and also to explore the possibility of either stationing ACLS ambulances in every District Court or to allow for setting up of the portable cabins for the same.
Accordingly, the bench directed the Delhi Metro for exploring the possibility of setting-up the facility at all major inter-change stations.
