Delhi High Court Granted Interim Bail To BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh In Sexual Harassment Case

The Delhi High Court in the case observed and has granted interim bail to the BJP MP and the Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Singh in the sexual harassment case filed by women wrestlers.
The bench headed by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal of Rouse Avenue Courts in the case observed and has granted interim bail to Singh and his co-accused Vinod Tomar after the prosecution did not oppose the same.
It has also been submitted by the prosecution before the court that We have not arrested him and we leave it to my lord. The Condition needs to be there and that the prosecution oppose it with the condition that he shouldn’t influence witnesses,
The court in the case will hear the plea moved by Singh’s.
The Judge also summoned Singh and co accused Vinod Tomar on July 07, 2023 and has directed them to appear before court.
Further, the Delhi Court in the case observed and has directed the Delhi Police to file the charge sheet as stated under Sections 354 (outraging modesty of a woman), 354A (sexually coloured remarks), 354D (stalking) and 506(1) (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code, 1860 against them.
The cancellation report needs to be filed filed in the POCSO case registered against Singh by a minor wrestler.
In the present case, the court accused the BJP lawmaker has been accused of sexual harassment by women wrestlers.
Thus, the incident alleged of sexual harassment are said to have occurred between the year 2016 and 2019 as the WFI office, at Singh’s official residence and also abroad.
Accordingly, the minor had reportedly withdrawn her allegations against Singh, in the POCSO case.
