On Saturday, an official of Delhi Police’s Special Cell revealed that a member of the notorious Salman Tyagi-Saddam Gauri gang who had been absconding for more than four years in MCOC Act cases has been apprehended.
Mustafa Tyagi, a native of Delhi’s Tihar village, was arrested in connection with the murder of businessman Ajay Chaudhary in May 2022.
In addition, he is charged in five criminal cases in Delhi, including murder, attempted murder, abduction, extortion, robbery, and violation of the Arms Act.
Tyagi and his syndicate had a complaint filed against them at the Hari Nagar police station in 2019.
The Special Cell/SR dispatched teams to seek down absconding criminal Mustafa Tyagi in the West Delhi area after obtaining information about his activities. The accused was regularly changing hideouts across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh to avoid capture.
