Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, said on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, that “her husband will reveal the truth regarding the excise policy case in court on Thursday, March 28, 2024.” Currently, Kejriwal is in Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam.

In a video message posted by Sunita Kejriwal on X (formally Twitter), In her post, she hit out at the centre and central probe agency, saying that the ED could not find a single penny in its more than 250 raids conducted in the “so-called liquor scam.”

She added, “Despite two years of investigation, the ED has not been able to find even one paisa in evidence. They raided the chief minister’s residence but got just Rs 73,000.”

Further, she said, “I met Arvind Kejriwal in jail yesterday; he has diabetes, and his sugar level is not under control. However, his determination is strong. Two days ago, he directed Delhi Minister Atishi to resolve the water and sewer-related issues. What wrong did he do? The Centre has filed a case against Arvind Kejriwal even for this. Do they want to finish Delhi?”

Sunita Kejriwal said that her husband was very sad over the issue. “In the so-called liquor scam, ED has conducted more than 250 raids. They are searching for the money from this so-called scam. They have found nothing yet. Arvind Kejriwal has said that he will reveal everything in court on March 28. He will reveal where the money for the liquor scam is. He will also provide proof,” she said.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener was arrested by the ED on March 21 in an excise policy-linked money laundering case and subsequently remanded to the agency’s custody until March 28.

However, Sunita met the Delhi CM on Tuesday evening at the ED office. Apart from Kejriwal, other AAP leaders, including former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, are also in ED custody in the case.
