The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a massive protest near the Aam Adami Party headquarters on the DDU Marg on Friday, February 2, 2024, alleging corruption in the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government. “The Kejriwal government has become synonymous with corruption. Every day, a scam of the government is exposed before the people,” said Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva. On the other hand, just a few hundred metres away, AAP leaders and workers protested at the BJP headquarters over alleged rigging in the recently held mayoral polls in Chandigarh.

Thousand of BJP workers under the leadership of Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva demonstrate protest against Arvind Kejriwal’s corruption scams. During the protest, BJP workers raised slogans against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and demanded his resignation.

Following the address of the Delhi BJP chief, BJP workers moved towards the Aam Aadmi Party office, where a large number of deployed police forces tried to stop them at the barricades. But the workers broke the barricades and ran towards the Aam Aadmi Party office. They were forcefully stopped by the police, arrested, and taken to Indraprastha Estate Police Station.

During the protest, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said that it is the result of the hard work of all of us that Kejriwal had to withdraw the liquor policy, but he will have to answer for the scams he has committed in it.

He added that Kejriwal’s absconding despite being issued five summonses by the ED is a testimony to the fact that he has committed theft and that his behaviour is like that of an economic offender.

Sachdeva added that Kejriwal issued a tender for making 7180 classrooms, and when it came to making classrooms, the budget of the tender was increased 100 times, but despite that, only 4126 rooms were made, and washrooms were also counted among the classrooms.
