The Delhi Capitals (DC) have acquired South Africa’s wicketkeeper-batter Tristan Stubbs for his base price of 50 lakh at Tuesday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction in Dubai.
The India goalkeeper, KS Bharat, entered the auction at 50 lakh in the meanwhile. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) began bidding for Bharat because they need a local keeper-batter. At his initial price of Rs 50 lakh, Bharat was purchased by KKR.
Conversely, Josh Inglis, a fellow World Cup champion, had bids of up to two crore, but he failed to close the deal.

Phil Salt, an aggressive keeper-battler from England, was up for auction at a starting price of 1.5 crore. All auction tables became silent awkwardly, and the English player was not successful in the bidding.
