Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain, today, paid a courtesy visit to the farmers who have been managing the stubble with CRM Machinery in the district.
She said that to promote the use of CRM Machinery, we have made an abundant number (1098) of Crop Residue Management Machines available by now in the district. Deputy Commissioner added that soon we would be providing 184 surface seeders to be driven with small tractors for sowing of wheat crop.
The deputy commissioner said that the shortcomings observed this season would be overcome by next season to further minimal the fire instances.
Visiting Sanpreet Singh, a mechanical engineer at Deh Kalan Nabipur, she applauded the efforts put forth by him to prefer CRM Machinery over setting ablaze the crop residue. Sharing his experience, Sanpreet who cultivates over 60 acres of land said that the wheat crop sowing by mixing stubble with soil proves fertile for the soil.
