Fire broke out in a parked ethanol tanker, a big accident averted due to the readiness of the people present. A major accident took place late on Tuesday night on NH 27 of Simri police station area of the district. A sudden fire broke out in an ethanol tanker here. How gruesome this accident was, it can be gauged from the fact that after the accident, flames started appearing from far and wide all around the highway.
After which the local people reached the spot and informed the fire department and started trying to control the fire. As soon as the same fire was reported, the fire department team reached the spot and controlled the fire.
In relation to the incident, it is being told that a tanker full of ethanol was standing at a dhaba located in Simri. Suddenly the standing tanker caught fire. There was a stir at the dhaba due to the fire in the tanker. Seeing this dreadful scene, there was a stir among the people present there. But some people present there showed courage, reported the incident to the police and fire department and got involved in controlling the fire. As soon as the incident was reported, vehicles of the fire department and the police reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Due to which a major accident was averted.
The same NHI patrolling incharge Devendra Kumar Sharma told that this incident happened at 11 pm. The ethanol tanker was going from Gonda to Guwahati. In the same sequence, the driver stopped the car at a dhaba to have food. In the same sequence, the tanker caught fire. Due to which there was a stir on the spot.“As soon as we got information about this, our night patrolling team also reached the spot. After which the fire was brought under control with the help of 5 vehicles of the fire brigade.” He told that during this accident. Traffic has been stopped on one side of the highway and vehicles are being evacuated from only one side.
