Dalit Tonsuring case: Chorus for arrest of Bigg Boss fame Nutan Naidu grows louder

A 20-year-old Dalit boy Parre Srikanth was allegedly assaulted and tonsured by his employer, the wife of a former Bigg Boss Telugu contestant, who accused him of theft. The incident took place in Pendurthi, Visakhapatnam on Friday.

Chorus for the arrest of Bigg Boss fame N. Nutan Naidu is growing louder as Dalit activists allege that he is the mastermind in the tonsuring and harassing of Parre Srikanth.

However, fresh demand has been made after the arrest of seven people including Nutan Naidu’s wife N. Priya Madhuri.

 The backlash of the incident can also be seen now, with various Dalit organisations holding a protest in Visakhapatnam and demanding the arrest of Nutan Naidu.

Srikanth who belongs to the Mala community categorized as scheduled caste alleged that after attacking him the family threatened to file a case of sexual harassment against him. He was attacked for almost four hours.

 The CCTV clearly shows that he was beaten before tonsuring. Vishakhapatnam Police said, “During tonsuring of the 20-yearold Dalit youth at Nutan Naidu’s house, the accused woman took selfies standing beside the victim. we have got all hair (tonsured) from the scene and the medico and legal evidence was also collected.”

The entire episode also took a political twist with TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu criticising the Jaganmohan Reddy government. Chandrababu tweeted, “After YSRCP came to power, the atrocities against dalits increased. Tonsuring, harassing dalits has become a norm. Some dalits committed suicides also. Is it democracy? the police are supporting YSRCP leaders who harass the Dalits.”

 His son and TDP general secretary said,” tonsuring, killing and attacking Dalits are done by none other than Jagan Reddy’s government. The government should take stringent action against the goons who resort to such atrocities. The Government itself is the culprit.” CM Jagan has issued a warning that nobody is going to be spared in People demanding the arrest of Bigg Boss Telugu fame N. Nutan Naidu. these kinds of cases.
