Curfew remains enforced due to the tense aftermath of violence in Haryana’s Nuh district. Internet services have been suspended until August 8th. Similarly, Palwal will have its internet shutdown until midnight today, while Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, witnessed a recent net closure starting yesterday at 1 pm.
The internet blackout aims to quell the volatile atmosphere following isolated incidents that followed the Nuh violence. The bulldozer operation, initiated as a response to the violence, continues for the fourth consecutive day. Demolition of properties linked to those involved in the riots, including homes, shops, and illegal constructions, is ongoing. Notably, the Sahara Hotel, implicated in stone-pelting during the violence, was razed under tight police security.Regarding the death of Gurugram’s Pradeep Sharma during the Nuh violence, an FIR for murder has been filed against 150 individuals, including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Javed Ahmed. The case is lodged in Sohna, Gurugram. However, Javed denies his involvement, asserting he was not present in the area that day.
In the FIR, Pawan recounted the events, noting that on July 31 at 10:30 pm, he and others were traveling from Nuh to Sohna in a car. Near Nirankari College, they encountered a group of around 150 individuals armed with stones, iron rods, and pistols. Javed was among them, allegedly inciting the mob to attack. Pradeep Sharma was fatally injured during the assault, succumbing to his injuries at the hospital.
An incident in Panipat also raised concerns, as more than a dozen bike-borne individuals attacked a specific area, damaging shops and causing injuries. Multiple cases have been filed, with some suspects detained. Congress MLA Maman Khan’s security has been withdrawn, raising questions about his involvement in the Nuh violence. The government is investigating his previous threatening video and tweet in the Vidhan Sabha. In response,
