Creating new possibilities in my life

Sometimes, an act of creation comes easily to us, and we can look at and appreciate what we have created, and the enjoyment we had in its creation. Often though when it comes to sustaining that creation, nurturing what we have fostered, things get in the way, and the creation is left to flounder. We may take great pleasure in the creation of a garden, for example, and yet as time goes by, and weeds grow, and the weather conditions put us off from going outside to do any work, the garden loses its beauty, because we are unable to do what is needed to care for it.

In the same way, to create new possibilities in my life, I need to first have the wish to do so, the belief that I can, and to be fully aware of what may sabotage my efforts. The life I am living is my own. I live with myself every nanosecond of every day of every year, so I need to be able to care for the self, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I need to recognise that every moment is new and precious. To create something new within, first I have to appreciate what is already there. I can take time each day to sit and consider the unique qualities I already have, the spiritual virtues and powers that already belong to me, and by recognising them, I bring them into an elevated awareness. These are the powers and virtues that I can build upon for the creation of new qualities, opportunities, and possibilities. When I foster an attitude of gratitude for each moment and for each element of spiritual goodness within, I open the gate for newness.

The creation of new and powerful thoughts is best done in the quiet of the early morning. That sacred time of day when there is clarity and peace and silence. The power of silence works in a beautiful way. All the false beliefs I may have about myself can be seen clearly for what they are. If, for example, I have taken on a belief that I am not loveable, then when I sit in the peaceful hours of the morning, in full awareness of my spiritual identity, of being an eternal soul, a being of light, temporarily inhabiting this body, then this belief has no power, because all souls are full of love and peace and joy. I can remove the negative and false belief and reaffirm the truth, that ‘I am love’.

So, giving myself this sacred time of up to an hour each morning I can create powerful thoughts and then throughout the day I sustain and nurture the thoughts. For example, if I create the possibility of being more tolerant, then throughout the day I can check that I am being so and change direction if I am not. As I do this, I become aware of the weaknesses that sabotage the intention and what the triggers are that bring the weakness into play.
The triggers come from the subconscious because of traumas we may be storing. Everything we have done, or thought, is all recorded within. We can check the memories that emerge, and we can check if they are positive and uplifting or if they are pulling me down into a negative experience again. I need to become a compassionate detached observer of the self. Checking in to observe and be kind to the self will allow more of a flow as I interact with others.

Creating new possibilities in my life is like learning how to become a magician. In meditation, when I connect directly with the Supreme Being, I accumulate wisdom and can begin to transform my personality I am still me, but I am the deepest, most beautiful me. In creating a new, higher consciousness, others can tune into that too. When a number of souls create and maintain this consciousness, it really is magic, because the world can be transformed.
