Cow vigilante Monu Manesar appeared in a Gurugram court through video conference on Thursday in connection with an attempted murder case registered in Pataudi. This marked the first hearing in the matter since the case was transferred from Pataudi to Gurgaon sessions court. After the hearing, Additional Sessions Judge Jasbir Singh scheduled the next court appearance for January 8.
During the hearing, Monu Manesar’s counsel, Kulbhushan Bhardwaj, informed the media, “Today, during the hearing of Monu Manesar through video conferencing from Bhondsi jail, the court has fixed the next date of January 8.”
On February 6, a man sustained a gunshot wound in a confrontation between two communities in the Pataudi area. Subsequently, the police arrested four individuals, including Monu, who was apprehended on October 7.
The legal proceedings mark a crucial development in the case, shedding light on the events surrounding the violent incident. Monu Manesar’s virtual appearance underscores the adaptation of legal procedures, with the court leveraging video conferencing technology for hearings.
The transfer of the case to Gurgaon sessions court suggests a shift in jurisdiction, possibly due to procedural considerations or case complexities.
As the court sets the next hearing for January 8, the case’s progression will continue to unfold, providing further insights into the details of the attempted murder and the individuals involved.
