On Tuesday, India reported 3038 new instances of covid in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total active caseload to 21,179.
COVID cases in India have been increasing in recent days, with daily fresh infections varying from 2,994 on April 1 to 3,824 on April 2 and 3,641 on April 3 dropping to 3038 in the last 24 hours. With 2,069 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the overall number of recoveries has risen to 4,41,77,204. The recovery rate in India is presently at 98.76 percent.
The daily and weekly positivity percentages are 1.84 and 2.49, respectively.
In the last 24 hours, 1,894 doses were given.

In the last 24 hours, 1,64,740 tests were performed out of a total of 92.20 crore tests.

In the wake of rising COVID cases in India, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya stated on Monday that Omicron’s sub-variant, which is circulating in the country, has not resulted in an increase in hospitalizations and that there is no cause for concern.
The Minister stated that it is a need to stay vigilant.
“We must remain vigilant, but there is no need to be concerned.” “The sub-variant of Omicron that is currently circulating in the country has not increased hospitalizations,” Mandaviya said.
In response to the recent surge in Covid-19 cases across the nation, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has released revised guidelines.
